Great thoughts, weird at the end

This collection of Osho's wisdom, recorded from extemporaneous speeches rather than written all at once, offered many insights into the nature of negative and positive emotions. I definitely highlighted quite a few pearls like:
"Many people think that sentimentality is spirituality. But emotions are as mental as thoughts, and what you call your heart is as much in your head as your head. You can become emotional very easily. You can cry and weep with tears falling down, big pearl-like tears - but it is nothing spiritual."
"Sadness is passive anger and anger is active sadness."
"When you see anger in others, go and dig within yourself and you will find it there; when you see too much ego in others, just go inside and you will find ego sitting there. The inside functions like a projector; others become screens and you start seeing films on others which are really your own tapes."
"There is one and only one way to understand that to be angry is to be stupid: watch anger in all its phases, be alert to it so it does not catch you unawares; remain watchful, seeing every step of the anger. And you will be surprised: that as awareness about the ways of anger grows, the anger starts evaporating. And when the anger disappears, then there is a peace. Peace is not a positive achievement. When the hatred disappears, there is love. Love is not a positive achievement. When jealousy disappears, there is a deep friendliness towards all."

For me, the only thing that keeps this from being a five star book is the section at the end with "practical" suggestions on exercises for meditation, which are often pseudoscientific and almost all...well, weird.

The format wasn't perfect on the Kindle but the content was great.

Osho books are kind of life savers for me. They uplift me, give me hope, strength and understanding for others. When I feel angry and frustrated I read his advices and keep being reminded that those are only the materialistic things and ppl who I should care about. It gives me more emotional freedom.

Sometimes you need to leave to know if you want to go back...

I liked this read a lot. Give it another pass by an editor, remove the phrases about the characters laughing or crying and this would've been a 5 star read for me. It had everything I needed to have me read it in one sitting. Michelle was the type of female that I like to read about. She saw that she was in a bad situation and got herself out of it. When Ronnie realized that he'd really messed up, he did what he had to do to fix it. I liked that it wasn't easy for either of them.

I tried to like this book. The premise was great--a woman let's go of her cheating spouse b/c she loves herself more. Then I actually read the book and became angry. This so called woman was a whiny, spoiled child who deserved everything she got. Her attitude and demeanor were so horrible that I didn't want to see her happy. The "hero" was a manipulative overgrown jerk who deserved his man card revoked. The book also needs an editor. All in all I gave it two stars for the premise, the cute cover and the hope that it gets revised soon.

I really loved this book. Michelle is what I considered to be a stong woman. A lot of women out there are not. She did what she had to do and loved herself more. I would recommend this book for all. D.C Williams, God gave you the gift of writing and I'm glad that you are sharing it with the world. I can't wait to read some more of your work! Keep strong and keep moving on!!!

About the Author
Lauren Costine, PhD, is an LA-based therapist specializing in therapy with for lesbians. In addition to her therapeutic practice, Costine is an educator, activist, administrator, and author. She is currently the Chief Clinician and Founder of The LGBT-Affirmative Track at BLVD Treatment Centers – an intensive outpatient treatment center in Hollywood. She was one of the founding members and developers of The LGBT Specialization in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University Los Angeles (AULA), the nation’s first LGBT-Affirmative program where she still teaches. Her involvement included the development and teaching of such popular courses as LGBT History & Myth, Lesbian Liberation and LGBT Community Action.. Professionally, she has presented workshops at various national and regional conferences and has published a number of articles in such magazines as SheWired, Addiction Professional Magazine and Smart Lesbian Online Magazine. As an activist, Costine has helped produce a variety of grassroots psychological cultural events aimed to promulgate LGBT-Affirmative psychological ideas for the community in accessible ways through various mediums via The LGBT Specialization. As a therapist and as a lesbian, I found this book to be invaluable. Dr. Costine’s tone in this important book is warm and empathetic. The book takes the reader through a multifaceted explanation of how love addiction occurs and adds the much needed component of lesbian psychological and environmental factors that affect lesbians so strongly. The book is also a love letter to lesbians in that it is a wish for all lesbians to understand their own psyche and have the best chance at self love and love for others! I have already recommended this book to some lesbian therapy clients and find referring to this book so helpful.

This book is excellent for nursing informatics. The authors break the text down in to clear and reasonably understandable terms. I was nervous about the class that I took this with, but this book was a huge asset. It really helped with my understanding.
