This book is for anyone who is faced with adversity and wants to throw in the towel (toilet paper?). Gibson's story is inspiring, and his perseverance through extreme illness is simply amazing. The guy should be dead, plain and simple. The fact that he is alive to write this book is a testimony to his stubbornness and spirit. The book will make you laugh many times; it will make you cry a little; and it will make you long for the days of $4 pizza. Anyone who feels like the crisis they are facing is insurmountable need to read this book as an important reminder that things can work out all right in the end.

The candor with which this book is written was such a welcome surprise. I laughed, numerous times. I cried, thankfully, not as often. You don't need to have Crohn's Disease to get something out of this book. The positivity expressed by the author is enough to make the read well worth it.

Honest, heartbreaking and hysterical....

Anyone who lives with a chronic disease or has suffered through the pain and frustration of a mis-diagnosis (or diagnoses, in the author’s instance), will find a bit of their own story in this book. From tears to laughter, the author captures the full range of emotions attached to a medical crisis and I cried and laughed right along with him as I read it. What I like most about the book is that it is honest when dealing with the harsh realities of the diagnosis but it also maintains an undercurrent of hope throughout. I cannot recommend this book enough.
